KFC Mooncake Debut

Lotus seed with egg yolk?  Boring. Snow skin? Not chic enough. In 2019, 50 years after moon landing, KFC revolutionises the mooncake, launching the one and only spicy chicken mooncake in the universe. In the video, we bring the audiences to space and unveil the mystery hidden behind the dark side of the moon, revealing the new KFC mooncake.  In the social feed, we want to let the audiences to feel relatable by zooming on the moon with a smartphone while keep saying “wa, wei?”, which you shall get the bit if you have knowledge of the smartphone with a super camera. Afterall, it is a one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind for celebrating the mid-autumn festival.

At the same time, KFC has also launched a new concept store, serving special menus and the new mooncake.  We create a music video parody, which the song is a translated English version of the classic Chinese poem “水調歌頭”.  The whole video style is a tribute to the nostalgic 90s .
